Character Review: Shae

Shae, a prostitute, acted as a very intimate lover of Tyrion Lannister. Tyrion Lannister was the son of the most powerful person in Westeros, Tywin Lannister. Shae must have acted to fall in love just because of Tyrion’s profile as a son of Tywin.
Shae and Tyrion met in a tent during the preparation of war between the Lannister and the Starks. They were accompanied by Bron, a Sellsword, who can fight his life for some gold. Tyrion says the whole story how he was pranked by Jaime about his lover. He even expresses that he loved the girl very much but Jaime pranked upon him by sending a prostitute to him. Tyrion didn’t know that Shae was a prostitute, or he didn’t mind what she really was. Shae saw the benefit that she can have by just being with Tyrion Lannister.
Next, as the story developed sequentially, Shae reaches to the Kings Landing, inside Tyrion’s Chamber. Nobody knew that Shae was an ambitious girl, whose only motive was to make Tywin fall in love with her. Later on Shae shows her real color when Tyrion was escaping from Kings Landing with the help of his merciful brother Jaime Lannister. He decides to see his father for the last time, who had declared Tyrion the murderer of the Late King Joeffrey. Tyrion finds Shae on the chamber of Tywin, in his bed. Then Tyrion kills Shae first then Tywin and leaves the King Landing to sail for the Dragon Queen.    

In conclusion, Shae wasn’t a lover of Tyrion Lannister and she was faking it till the end. Hence, George R. R. Martin has beautifully tried to portray that in life you might find such a lover too.

Rob Stark and Theon Greyjoy

When you will describe these two characters you will obviously notice a great difference in both of them. One is: one of the friends is loyal to another one but another one is disloyal. It’s similar to saying that a Wolf’s in a Sheep’s clothing. George R. R. Martin is very creative in portraying the betrayal of Theon Greyjoy, the only living true son of Baelon Greyjoy of the Iron Islands, to his best friend Robb Stark. Robb Stark and Theon Greyjoy both were grown together in the Winterfell. Theon was brought by Ned Stark to Winterfell after the Robert’s army killed every living son of Baelon Greyjoy. Robb was pre-destined to be the Lord of Winterfell and the Warden of the North while Theon would only serve Robb as a loyal companion. Further, as the story progressed Ned Stark was kept as a captive for being a traitor on a false charge of committing crime against the crown. Robb Stark got angry about the news. Character Review: Roose Bolton

Lord Roose Bolton was the Lord of the Dreadfort and the head of House Bolton, the former ruling Great House of the North after usurping the position from House Stark. He was the father of Ramsay Bolton, his legitimized bastard, and an unnamed newbornbaby from his wife, Walda Frey. During the War of the Five Kings, Roose serves King in the North Robb Stark as one of his top generals. However, they disagree quite often due to various tactical and political differences. He later betrays and murders Robb at the Red Wedding after allying with House Frey and House Lannister when the war turns against them. Roose is appointed the new Warden of the North by King Joffrey Baratheon on Tywin Lannister's orders as a reward for killing Robb and ending the conflict. Character Review: Lady Brienne of Tarth

Lady Brienne, the sworn protector of the Kingguard of Renly Baratheon was from the least popular place of Tarth. Her father was the Lord of Tarth of whom she is the only heir, alive. She is unusually tall and muscular for a woman by Westerosi standards and developed a taste for martial activity as a child. Lady Brienne was later sworn for protecting the Stark children on command of Lady Catelyn Stark. Brienne is the sole surviving child and heir of Lord Selwyn Tarth of Evenfall Hall, on the island of Tarth, located in the Narrow Sea off the coast of the Stormlands. Character Review: Rickon Stark

Rickon Stark, the youngest son of Lord of Winterfell and the Warden of the North, Ned Stark and Catelyn Stark. He died at a young age. He was killed by the Villain of the Series, Ramsay Bolton (Snow who was given officially named Bolton).   Therefore, much story was not developed on behalf of this young character because of his young age death. Although, he is still remembered as one of the Stark children who was lost in the war of the Seven Kingdoms, in addition to Robb Stark.
