Character Review: Maester Aemon Targaryen

Aemon Targaryen was the oldest man in Game of Thrones who had seen lots of king in his life. He himself was to become a King but he rejected the throne and became a Maester at the Citadel.
Aemon was the maester at Castle Black, representing the Citadel of King's Landing, and one of Lord Commander Jeor Mormont's closest advisors in the Night's Watch. He was born Aemon Targaryen and was the last known Targaryen in Westeros. He was the great-uncle of Daenerys Targaryen, and unknown to him, was the great-great uncle of Jon Snow. His nephew was Aerys Targaryen, the mad king. His father was Myca. Aemon died at the Night's Watch performing his duty as a sworn brother of the Watch.
To recapitulate, Aemon Targaryen is an old man who is seen giving advice to lord commander of the Night’s Watch.

Rob Stark and Theon Greyjoy

When you will describe these two characters you will obviously notice a great difference in both of them. One is: one of the friends is loyal to another one but another one is disloyal. It’s similar to saying that a Wolf’s in a Sheep’s clothing. George R. R. Martin is very creative in portraying the betrayal of Theon Greyjoy, the only living true son of Baelon Greyjoy of the Iron Islands, to his best friend Robb Stark. Robb Stark and Theon Greyjoy both were grown together in the Winterfell. Theon was brought by Ned Stark to Winterfell after the Robert’s army killed every living son of Baelon Greyjoy. Robb was pre-destined to be the Lord of Winterfell and the Warden of the North while Theon would only serve Robb as a loyal companion. Further, as the story progressed Ned Stark was kept as a captive for being a traitor on a false charge of committing crime against the crown. Robb Stark got angry about the news. He remembered how his Grandfather and Uncle were burned by the Mad King...

Character Review: Yara Greyjoy

Yara Greyjoy, daughter of Baelon Greyjoy and sister of Theon Greyjoy, is designated as the queen of the Iron Islands. She was raised at Pyke, the stronghold of House Greyjoy. Yara is a fierce warrior and commands her own longship. She is currently a claimant to the throne of the Kingdom of the Iron Islands and an ally of Daenerys Targaryen, despite being captured and taken prisoner by her uncle, Euron Greyjoy, during the assault on the Targaryen Fleet. Yara is captain of her own longship, the Black Wind. In the next season, 8, Theon is going to take a very great step to rescue her from captivity.

Character Review: Baelon Greyjoy

Baelon Greyjoy, the ruler of Iron Islands and the father of Theon and Yara Greyjoy, was murdered by his own brother, Euron Greyjoy. He has a very less part in this series. Baelon can be considered a helpless father, who received his own son’s pen*s as a parcel from an enemy, who held captive of his son. He even dies of his own brother’s hand on a bridge. Baelon’s brother tries to murder even his nephew and niece. I assume Euron Greyjoy will die from the hand of Theon Greyjoy. Next, Baelon is also a helpless father when his son was taken by the Starks and the Baratheons as a captive for the misdeed the Greyjoy performed by supporting the Targaryen’s during the Great War for Seven Kingdoms. In conclusion, Baelon was unlucky from the very start of the series and had achieved very less until when he died.

Character Review: Shae

Shae, a prostitute, acted as a very intimate lover of Tyrion Lannister. Tyrion Lannister was the son of the most powerful person in Westeros, Tywin Lannister. Shae must have acted to fall in love just because of Tyrion’s profile as a son of Tywin. Shae and Tyrion met in a tent during the preparation of war between the Lannister and the Starks. They were accompanied by Bron, a Sellsword, who can fight his life for some gold. Tyrion says the whole story how he was pranked by Jaime about his lover. He even expresses that he loved the girl very much but Jaime pranked upon him by sending a prostitute to him. Tyrion didn’t know that Shae was a prostitute, or he didn’t mind what she really was. Shae saw the benefit that she can have by just being with Tyrion Lannister. Next, as the story developed sequentially, Shae reaches to the Kings Landing, inside Tyrion’s Chamber. Nobody knew that Shae was an ambitious girl, whose only motive was to make Tywin fall in love with her. Later on Sha...

Character Review: Roose Bolton

Lord Roose Bolton was the Lord of the Dreadfort and the head of House Bolton, the former ruling Great House of the North after usurping the position from House Stark. He was the father of Ramsay Bolton, his legitimized bastard, and an unnamed newbornbaby from his wife, Walda Frey. During the War of the Five Kings, Roose serves King in the North Robb Stark as one of his top generals. However, they disagree quite often due to various tactical and political differences. He later betrays and murders Robb at the Red Wedding after allying with House Frey and House Lannister when the war turns against them. Roose is appointed the new Warden of the North by King Joffrey Baratheon on Tywin Lannister's orders as a reward for killing Robb and ending the conflict. Roose later rebuilds Winterfell and makes it his home and to further strengthen his hold...
