Rob Stark and Theon Greyjoy

When you will describe these two characters you will obviously notice a great difference in both of them. One is: one of the friends is loyal to another one but another one is disloyal. It’s similar to saying that a Wolf’s in a Sheep’s clothing. George R. R. Martin is very creative in portraying the betrayal of Theon Greyjoy, the only living true son of Baelon Greyjoy of the Iron Islands, to his best friend Robb Stark. Robb Stark and Theon Greyjoy both were grown together in the Winterfell. Theon was brought by Ned Stark to Winterfell after the Robert’s army killed every living son of Baelon Greyjoy. Robb was pre-destined to be the Lord of Winterfell and the Warden of the North while Theon would only serve Robb as a loyal companion. Further, as the story progressed Ned Stark was kept as a captive for being a traitor on a false charge of committing crime against the crown. Robb Stark got angry about the news. He remembered how his Grandfather and Uncle were burned by the Mad King

Character Review: Baelon Greyjoy

Baelon Greyjoy, the ruler of Iron Islands and the father of Theon and Yara Greyjoy, was murdered by his own brother, Euron Greyjoy. He has a very less part in this series. Baelon can be considered a helpless father, who received his own son’s pen*s as a parcel from an enemy, who held captive of his son. He even dies of his own brother’s hand on a bridge. Baelon’s brother tries to murder even his nephew and niece. I assume Euron Greyjoy will die from the hand of Theon Greyjoy. Next, Baelon is also a helpless father when his son was taken by the Starks and the Baratheons as a captive for the misdeed the Greyjoy performed by supporting the Targaryen’s during the Great War for Seven Kingdoms. In conclusion, Baelon was unlucky from the very start of the series and had achieved very less until when he died.

Character Review: Euron Greyjoy

Euron Greyjoy, brother of Baelon Greyjoy and uncle of Theon and Yara Greyjoy, is portrayed as an angry man who wants to avenge the Iron Island and get those lands that they lost to the Kings of the Seven Kingdoms. Euron is specialized in ship wars, just like pirates. Euron Greyjoy killed his own brother Baelon Greyjoy, who was the rightful King of the Iron Island. He even tried to kill his niece and nephew before they escaped for the Dragon Queen. Anyway he gets crowned because he proved to be the potent heir to the Iron Borne’s Thorne. Euron is very ambitious that he goes to request Cersei Lannister to marry him. For that, he was offering her, her most hateful enemies, who betrayed her and they were Princes of Dorne and Yara Greyjoy. Right now, in the TV series, Euron Greyjoy is sailing for the Iron Banks for more gold and sell-sword to face the unrelieved White Walkers and the Dragon Queen and the Stark boy. In conclusion, Euron Greyjoy is a power seeking, hateful, and stro

Character Review: Shae

Shae, a prostitute, acted as a very intimate lover of Tyrion Lannister. Tyrion Lannister was the son of the most powerful person in Westeros, Tywin Lannister. Shae must have acted to fall in love just because of Tyrion’s profile as a son of Tywin. Shae and Tyrion met in a tent during the preparation of war between the Lannister and the Starks. They were accompanied by Bron, a Sellsword, who can fight his life for some gold. Tyrion says the whole story how he was pranked by Jaime about his lover. He even expresses that he loved the girl very much but Jaime pranked upon him by sending a prostitute to him. Tyrion didn’t know that Shae was a prostitute, or he didn’t mind what she really was. Shae saw the benefit that she can have by just being with Tyrion Lannister. Next, as the story developed sequentially, Shae reaches to the Kings Landing, inside Tyrion’s Chamber. Nobody knew that Shae was an ambitious girl, whose only motive was to make Tywin fall in love with her. Later on Sha

Character Review: Yara Greyjoy

Yara Greyjoy, daughter of Baelon Greyjoy and sister of Theon Greyjoy, is designated as the queen of the Iron Islands. She was raised at Pyke, the stronghold of House Greyjoy. Yara is a fierce warrior and commands her own longship. She is currently a claimant to the throne of the Kingdom of the Iron Islands and an ally of Daenerys Targaryen, despite being captured and taken prisoner by her uncle, Euron Greyjoy, during the assault on the Targaryen Fleet. Yara is captain of her own longship, the Black Wind. In the next season, 8, Theon is going to take a very great step to rescue her from captivity.

Character Review: Janos Slynt

Janos Slynt can be seen as a man who is very proud of his power. He commanded the city watch when he was in the King's Landing and then he was transferred to the Night's watch. In Night's watch he was a close adviser to Ser Alliser Thorne, the acting Lord Commander after Lord Commander Jeor Mormont's death. Janos Slynt can be seen as someone who do not take orders and who is proud of what he did some years ago in the city. He even thought that he deserved a better respect than any other looters, theives, or any high-born on the Night's watch. Further, Janos Slynt, at an occasion, denied the command from Lord Commander Jon Snow and faces his death. Anyhow we can say that it was a good end for a bad character. To recapitulate, Janos Slynt met a perfect death which was suitable for his character.

Character Review: Gregor Cleagane

Ser Gregor Clegane is the head of House Clegane, a knightly house from the Westerlands, and the elder brother of Sandor Clegane. When Sandor and Gregor were children, Gregor held his brother's face in a fire for playing with one of his toys without permission, horrifically scarring him. Gregor is a landed knight rather than a full-fledged lord. Gregor is monstrously huge, said to be the largest man in Westeros. He is feared throughout Westeros with a reputation for ferocity and anger. He is a loyal retainer and servant of House Lannister, particularly to Lord Tywin. Numerous servants have gone missing at the Clegane keep over the years, apparently killed by Gregor for minor slights in one of his infamous fits of rage, and their deaths then covered up. Gregor's own father and sister died under dubious circumstances as well, and Sandor thinks that Gregor may have killed them as well. Their sister died when Sandor was too young to remember her well, and their father died yea

Character Review: Roose Bolton

Lord Roose Bolton was the Lord of the Dreadfort and the head of House Bolton, the former ruling Great House of the North after usurping the position from House Stark. He was the father of Ramsay Bolton, his legitimized bastard, and an unnamed newbornbaby from his wife, Walda Frey. During the War of the Five Kings, Roose serves King in the North Robb Stark as one of his top generals. However, they disagree quite often due to various tactical and political differences. He later betrays and murders Robb at the Red Wedding after allying with House Frey and House Lannister when the war turns against them. Roose is appointed the new Warden of the North by King Joffrey Baratheon on Tywin Lannister's orders as a reward for killing Robb and ending the conflict. Roose later rebuilds Winterfell and makes it his home and to further strengthen his hold on the North, he has his bastard son Ramsay Bolton legitimized and weds him to Sansa Stark, while he marries Walder Frey's granddaughte

Character Review: Alliser Thorne

Ser Alliser Thorne, one of the brother of the Night’s Watch, is characterized as someone who is very keen of being on Power. For instance, he captures the post of Lord Commander, when Lord Commander Jeor Mormont was killed by his own fellow men under the same roof beyond the wall, becoming the acting Lord Commander. Ser Alliser Thorne even loses the election for Lord Commander to Jon Snow, who was very renowned for his bravery. Ser Alliser never liked Jon Snow because he knew that someone else was becoming smarter than him and someday he might get even more popular than Ser Alliser himself. Ser Alliser was offended of his opinion, when the 998 th LC of the Night’s Watch, Jon Snow lets the wildlings through the tunnel. Ser Alliser even tries to kill the LC by shoving a knife in his heart. Later on Jon Snow comes back to life and hangs him up. In this way Ser Alliser’s story ends. In conclusion, he can be characterized as every other character in this famous play, who is always

Character Review: Theon Greyjoy

Theon Greyjoy, the last remaining son of Baelon Greyjoy, was taken away by Ned Stark after the Iron Islands were defeated by Roberts’s army. Ned Stark cared of Theon just like his own son. Later on Theon betrayed Ned and his memory by capturing Winterfell for his real father, Baelon Greyjoy. Theon was the best friend of the King in the North, Robb Stark. Theon was sent on a mission by Robb Stark. During which Theon betrayed Robb and took control of Winterfell right after Ned Stark’s death. He even had to prosecute Ser Rodrick. At last he was betrayed by his own people and submitted to Ramsay Bolton.   Theon is a charcter of this play, whose life rotates around deep suffering. Ramsay Bolton even cuts out his Penis and submits to Theon’s father, Baelon Greyjoy. Ramsay tortured Theon in a very deep level because of which Theon even forgot his own identity. Ramsay forced Theon to be known as the Reek. Eventhough house Bolton was a torturous house since past, Ramsay was more torturous

Character Review: Tormund Giantsbane

Tormund, often called Tormund Giantsbane, is a renowned leader and raider among the Free Folk and one of the key leaders behind Mance Rayder. Tormund respected Mance as the King-Beyond-the-Wall and suspected he was the man to lead them through the Long Night. But as time passes and Mance is killed on the orders of Stannis Baratheon, he believes the prophesied warrior is his enemy-turned-friend Jon Snow. Tormund Giantsbane is an extremely fierce and determined man and a born warrior of the Free Folk in almost every way. Aside from his excellent fighting skills and monstrous strength, Tormund is a supremely intimidating individual who immediately asserts that his enemies should be afraid of him, which he does in his first encounter with Jon Snow, stating that men similar to Jon have met their ends trying to end Tormund's life in combat. Tormund is clearly hugely respected among his people, as evidenced by the immense responsibilities placed upon him by Mance Rayder during th

Character Review: Ygritte

Ygritte, the freefolk and the true lover of Jon Snow, is depicted as a wildling girl with a red hair. She is in real life the girlfriend of the actor Kit Harrington and recently the have engaged too. Ygritte is a good follower of Mance Rayder, the king beyond the wall. Her common phrase i s that southerners came up claimed Ygritte’s ancestor’s land as their and built a big icy wall to separate between those two humans making one the freefolk and another more civilized one, ruling from a castle. Ygritte was killed by the kid character Ollie in this famous series of Game of Thrones. She dies in the arm of her loved one, Jon Snow. Later on, Tormund Giantsbane suggests Jon Snow that Ygritte belonged to the real north, where Jon must take her body for cremation. We could see a great love story developing between the protagonist, Jon Snow and this beautiful wildling Ygritte through season 1, 2, and 3. But they separated in the 4 th season. To recapitulate, Ygritte was the one true
